OP stated "going up", implying that it is still under construction. Most likely referring to the Salesforce Tower which is taller than the Millennium Tower (opened back in 2009).

The one I'm referring to is still under construction, has cranes taller than the tower itself standing around it - and I don't want to be near one of those things in the smallest earthquake!
It's huge. Much taller than the surrounding towers, and from a distance it looks wider as well. Like Barad-Dur, or some other tower of ill omen.
