Have accidentally come across this movie and looks kind of interesting.
However as my subject question asks - is the Synapse release as originally intended by the director or just another cut of the same film minus the hardcore inserts?
Curious to know.....

shareI have one of the Synapses versions,a nd it does have indeed the porn shots in it. The version i have run at a 104 minutes lenght. I guess it must be the uncut or unrated version or whatever.

I've just ordered the Synapse Vengence Edition of ebay however the runtime on the listing for the DVD states 104 minutes which would imply that nothing has been cut. Could the vengence version being without the porn inserts be a myth? Hope so, cause I hate the thought that my version is going to be cut!!

shareJust watched the Vengence edition. MAJOR DISAPPOINTMENT! Not only missing the hardcore sex scences but it cuts out the scapel in the eye scene too! It shows the scalpel hovering about the eye then cuts to the next scene! AAARRGH!
shareAw...Damn. Actually, this is one of the rare films of it's kind which I'd never heard of at all, I just simply found the Vengeance Edition at my local Half Price Books for about 7 bucks. Either way, for such an uncommon brand of film, a slightly cut (just no hardcore sex and the eye-gouging) version is still better than none, I suppose...Either way, now I'm off to Synapse's website to blow MORE cash. Thanks, guys! :-)
