How each man might have handled their cut of the take (SPOILERS)

I know, I know, it's just a movie. Still, it's interesting (to me, anyway) to ponder how each of the hijackers would have spent/saved/invested their share of the million bucks.

I tend to think that Mr. Blue would have ended up leaving the country, to retire someplace where 250k was more than enough to live a lifetime of luxury. I was thinking somewhere in South America (that being the standard cliche in many older movies). A few investments, a few land purchases, and a very big estate with lots of servants. That sort of thing.

Mr. Grey, being a whackjob and a (rogue) mobster, probably would have squandered a lot of his loot gambling and what not, confident in his ability to get more (as Henry Hill said in Goodfellas: "I'd lose it all at the track, but it didn't matter, I'd just go out and steal more". Like most mobsters off their bean, Grey probably would have gotten killed a few years down the road, even if he had gotten away with the train hijacking.

Mr. Green, being kind of soft, and much less savvy than Mr. Blue, probably would have hid the money in his mattress, or something like that. He'd be nervous about spending it too freely as well, for fear of being caught. His money would probably outlive him.

Mr. Brown - I have no idea about this character. Maybe on speech therapists?

You are the naked angel in my heart.
