Dead man's switch SPOILER
Something that always bothered me was the contraption they assembled for bypassing the dead man's switch...utter unmitigated balderdash!
Either the writer/film makers didn't know how to address this or chose not to go into deatail out of concern for supplying the information to bad guys or that it would punch a hole in the story.
There's actually an incredibly simple way to circumvent the switch (at least the type used in that era) I've ridden these R21/22 cars since they were new and am fairly well acquainted with them, but with the interweb anyone can figure out what I'm talking about in short order.
