NYC TOLLS 1974 CARS .50 CENTS
Garber goes through the toll at the end and pays 50 cents. Inflation brings that to $2.42 today. Tolls are now $8.00 cash or $5.54 EZ Pass.

That and the .50 fits in to the cost of living back then.
The minimum wage was raised to $2.00 mid 1974. so $0.50 made sense.
The minimum wage in NY is about $9.00 so...$8.00 really..doesn't make sense!!!!
