Right at the beginning with the news-type video of the kidnapping. Got in late the first time and missed it.

I found that dull and routine.

For me there’s no real excitement until Poirot gathers the passengers to do his one-man show in the climax.

Yeah, it's good storytelling without having to dump all of that information with narration or a text on the screen.
