terrible

The acting in this movie is, for the most part, atrocious. How could a collection of some of the world's greatest actors turn out performances like this? It has to be the fault of the director. Lauren Bacall and Sean Connery were the only actors I could stand, and it was a big relief whenever they entered the scene. Albert Finney was just terrible-who told him to shout his lines like that? A very boring movie--we couldn't keep awake.

The movie is a classic mystery, over done for sure. However to say it's terrible and the acting atrocious makes me believe you are not being sincere. You may think it's boring, okay, but mysteries are fun for many of us. Try watching JFK Oliver Stone's take on the murder of Pres. Kennedy and see if that one is boring. If you think so, then perhaps you just don't like movies about conspiracies.

The acting is for the most part delightful and perfectly in tune with the style and period of the movie.

It's a wonderful set-piece of 'star turns'.

In my case, self-absorption is completely justified.

I forgive the utter insanity of your comment. Consider yourself in a majority of one. The scripting the editing the accuracy for detail make this one I of the most entertaining to the Christie mysteries. The performances were cridible and the entire film marvelously entertaining. We may presume by your comment thst you are an immature audience incapable of subtlty.
