Saw this today for the first time, and saw it in the theatre

For some reason, I'd never seen this film before (I've seen the TV series, and Life of Brian, so I'm not really sure why I never got around to this one). Since my theatre was showing it today as part of a 6-week classics series, I went to see it. They showed the extended version, and before the actual movie, there was a 9-minute segment on deleted animation with commentary (which I'm assuming is on one of the DVDs). I kinda wish I'd seen the movie sooner, but seeing it for the first time in a theatre kinda makes up for the delay.

We went to the classic series as well. They really should not have added those extra 9 minutes at the beginning; totally not funny and unbearably boring. The movie was alot funnier when I saw it on it's original release because of the shock value; things weren't nearly as casual in language and morals back then as they are now. What I found funniest about seeing it again was this one lady in the theater who laughed at everything and she had one of those laughs that is so hilarious and so unique, the whole theater was laughing more at her than the movie! She came unglued during the Black Knight fight scene. Hilarious!
