Which Python film is your favorite? Holy Grail or Life of Brian??
To me, I would say Life of Brian. The stonning scene and the Biggus Dickus scene are hilarious x)

Better story, Better satire, MUCH better ending.

Life of Brian. I do love Holy Grail though.
"He's not the Messiah. He's a very naughty boy!"
Holy Grail has funnier moments (but some moments that miss the mark), whereas Brian is a stronger film overall with fewer misses.
Personally, my favourite of the two is Holy Grail simply because I laugh harder.

For me it's almost a tie, but if I must choose, I'd say 'Life of Brian' simply because of the feelgood ending song.

I love them both.

Holy Grail because it is my favorite comedy of all time. However Life of Brian is second.
shareHoly Grail.
Life of Brian shows better evolved cinematic craftmanship, but the holy grail is the more pythonesque movie and for that reason alone remains invictus.
Holy Grail, but only just!
I like both films, but Grail seems more hardcore to me; given the budgetary constraints, and Chapman's ongoing problem with alcoholism during filming, it just feels more in keeping with Python - raw & spontaneous; whereas "Brian" had a far bigger budget, a more generous production crew & studio behind it. And as a consequence I felt it to be a little too "nicely packaged", even though it still remains a classic Python film.

The big studio copped out at the last minute. Instead, the movie had George Harrison behind it. ;-)
