This movie should be have been one of Craig's reboots
As much as I love Roger Moore's take on Bond, the tone of this film doesn't fit in with the world's most highest paid, dangerous assassin wanted to kill 007. Bond never feels like he is any danger in this or any other Moore film.
In Craig's world of serious, gritty Bond, I feel like this could have worked better. The assassin wouldn't have a golden gun of course, but the story-line could be simple, there is no mission, its just Bond going against the worlds highest paid free lance assassin.
I wish the man with the golden gun had been saved for Dalton, but what can you do. I made another thread with five or so bullet points on things that would have made this a decent movie with Moore as Bond in it.
