Moore drunk in audio commentary?

Is it just me or does Roger Moore sound drunk during his audio commentary on The Man with the Golden Gun? I love his audio commentaries on Bond films and he probably reveals more to us than the producers, writers and directors of the film want to share, but they are always interesting and insightful. The one thing I hate about audio commentaries is when they are very complimentary about their co-stars on screen, praising them up and down and stating how wonderful they are on and off the set and their professionalism. That's pretty much a given, so stating the obvious on DVDs is always a bore.

Anyway, I enjoyed Moore's insight on what went on with the producers during production of this film causing Salazar/Broccoli to part ways for years and other tid bits, but he slurred a lot of his words and just sounded, well, drunk off his ass.

I specifically reminded her - bedside table! On the Kangaroo!

I have yet to listen to it but based on his other movie commentaries, I agree, he is very good, a fine raconteur. The only actor whose commentaries I like even better is Kurt Russel, those are just *beep* funny.

For this one, maybe Moore has a harder time dealing with it.

He probably took a few drinks before he sat through this movie for a detailed commentary. I think he rates this one and A View to a Kill as his worst ones.
