I'm going to go with "no", because Bond is, without a doubt, the biggest douche in the spy business.

I'm British, and I'll put up with (and occasionally root for) a lot of our national institutions, but Bond is where I draw the line. Seriously, I hate that guy.

I thought he would, that there would be some scene later in the movie where he randomly came across that kid again and paid him the money, but nope, never did. Gotta agree with the guy above me; Bond is a real douche. Probably forgot all about the kid 5 minutes later.

on the commentary track or if it was a documentary or something moore said it was important to keep mouth and eyes closed cause the water was so bad, he also felt bad for the people around but said you're so caught up in making the movie, a lot of people are reacting negatively to the whistle during the great stunt, while i'm on this, moore said he was moved to tears about how great the stuntmen made him look, today it would all be done by computer i guess. i just noticed there are days of marathon of all bond movies, at least i'll watch the connery and moore ones, even "never say never again" will air. at the moment "the man with the golden gun" is on, it's hard to watch how the other leading lady in this (andrea) gets treated, suiting how she got another shot at it in "octopussy" (playing a different role of course, but still.)
