I know the names of the songs, but cannot find out who sings them. I am particulary interested in Chico's Song and The Wedding Song.

This is the website were I found all of the songs. There are a total of 28 songs listed but they do not provide the performers name. If you find out where you can locate a soundtrack or who the singers are, please post it here as I am looking for the same thing. Might be easier to buy the movie and record the songs off of the movie.

The end credits on the DVD list Jamie Carr as the singer of the main themes -- Chico's Song ("You And Me") and Wedding Song, which ends the film. Can't find much about him, but he appears via google to have been a studio musician who did work with those who performed as The Archies. May also be listed as Billy Carr, but found nothing further under that name, either.

I TOO AM LOOKING FOR THE SOUNDTRACK DID U HAVE ANY LUCK YET?? EVEN WHO SINGS THE SONGS???

I got the soundtrack off ebay a while ago, just five bucks too (had it in the 70's as a kid). It always shows up here and there. This is definitely a film whose soundtrack belongs on a CD. All the songs are good, especially the ones with the gravelly-throated singer. For now, best to play the DVD through the system.

Most of the songs were sung by James Carr. He was credited as Jamie Carr in the film's credits. He was a soul singer who was compared to Otis Redding. Some say he was better. He died at age 58 a few years ago.

Blecccchhh!!!! You people liked the music in this movie? That was just one of the annoying things about it!! The movie was obviously so low budget that they couldn't afford to buy the rights to use real tunes from the '50s. So they come up with this pseudo 50's junk. And I see that one poster says that the singer was compared to Otis Redding? You're kidding me...right??? right??

Another rather annoying thing about this film is its lack of a certain element that is usually important. And that would be a plot. Without a plot, a movie doesn't go that far.

Also, if you are going to do a movie about high school punks, the lead characters should be younger than in their late 20's.

The only funny thing about the movie was, as cool as those guys thought they were, they were clueless as far as how to deal with anything.

a great soundtrack, there are many who love these songs. Jamie Carr was a very good vocalist and this was an original soundtrack. Paul Jabara, who appears in the film, wrote for Donna Summer and received many accolades. You can look him up. Get your ears checked!!

It was great to see Paul Jabara in this film, as well as Ray Sharkey. Coincidentally, both died of AIDS.

I loved the soundtrack also, and someday I hope to find it on vinyl. It has a slightly "faux '50s" feel in that it's obviously a '70s version of '50 music, but I love when one era salutes another. Solid soundtrack to a solid film.
