EXPECTING DIVINE THE 300-LB DRAG QUEEN TO SHOW UP!!!

Shot on 16mm film and blown up to 35mm - AND taking place in a high school setting - this film looks like something out of a John Waters movie! The classroom scene especially - with that teacher!

Agreed.
I just watc hed this movie again (on Blu-Ray at last...yay!) and thought to myself that looked like a John Waters movie (without the vulgarity)
The camerawork, sets, extras (and alround tone) felt like a PG outtakes from 'Female Trouble'
'The Lords Of Flatbush' (like 'Female Trouble') is a mini masterpiece....and also plays like a trial-run for (the latter) 'The Wanderers'
