Indeed, "very loosely based" upon the atrocities in the concentration camps of Nazi Germany.

There would be two psuedo sequels to follow this one up, "Ilsa, Harem Keeper Of the Oil Shieks" and "Ilsa, Tigress Of Siberia". Jess Franco also directed a quickie in similar thematics called "Wandy, the Wicked Warden" or "Greta, the Mad Butcher" depending on what your sources are.

Classic exploitation cinema, highly recommended.

This was just a propaganda movie made to exaggerate what went on in Nazi concentration camps, the stuff was brutal, but the scenes in this movie are downright ridiculous. It is loosely based on Ilsa Koch yes, but as has been said before, very loosely. And Ilsa Koch was ugly as hell, so there is a big difference there.

If all you've got to go on is her mug shot (she is ugly there) check out this.Very surprising. You can see how the war years really took a toll on her appearance.
