My Interpretation of the movie

There is a lot of symbolism in this movie.Nothing is direct If you watch it carefully you will definitely enjoy it.
The starting scene for me is some kind of purification ritual where everything is removed including nails and hairs.We see the world through the eye of a person who is shown as an impure man.He then search for the meaning.The toad scene i guess signifies war.War leads to destruction only.The girl who follows the protagonist may be a blind follower.The world is in chaos.There is no religion.No one cares about god.The protagonist is angry about it.He then climb the tower to reach god.It symbolises that he sacrifice himself.When protagonist meets the Alchemist in tower he tries to kill the alchemist it means he doesn't have faith in him.But the alchemist removes the tumor which means he removes the darkness which is inside in the protagonist.The alchemist then tell the protagonist story about the powerful people in universe.

3)Jupitor:Lust Only not love
4)Saturn:Conditions the children
5)Uranus:Laziness,Stupidity.People are controlled
6)Neptune:police controlling people
7)Pluto:People live in coffin

The alchemist then gathers these people and say "You have Power.You have money.But you are mortal.But Immortality can be obtained".Then he asked them to detach from the earthly pleasures by destroying money,burning effigies.Possession is ultimate pain Surrender everything.Then all of them goes in search of holy mountain to seek immortality.The path is difficult."You want to perform miracles like Christ see what would happen" It means that even miracles can not save people always.Then the final obstruction a feast.May people have reached there but could not pass the final obstruction because they get deviated from their path and choose earthly pleasures.All of them pass this obstruction and reaches the holy mountain.At such height their vision gets distorted.The protagonist decides to stay and not seek immortality.Others continue to seek immortality and gets destroyed by their own mind.Then the end line"If not obtained mortality At least we have obtained reality.We shall break the illusion".There is nothing like immortality.Its an illusion
