This is the best directed film ever..

also, I asked this before, but it has since been deleted, as has most of the board...

what is with that gigantic building with the hook? Did an actor actually ride up this random HUGE building (what building looks like that anyway?) with no support?...

I think it won best special effects in the 1974 Oscars and also there is a golden statue of the Director under the sea just off the coast of Cannes.

It's a very strong film with amazing imagery and a very compelling concept, but I have seen more than 250 that were better. 8/10 stars from me.

It is not a popular film - it is for a niche audience. It would never make the top 250 unfortunately. El topo is more accessible but probably not popular enough either.

But then again, is it a good thing to be in the top 250…..?
