Let Down

After years of hearing "The Great Gatsby" is an incredible piece of literature, I decided to watch the movie. Some people on this board say it is exactly like the book.
Well, the Movie is rated 6.2 on IMDB and I am not suprised. I didn't really care for the movie. It was boring. I see comments on the boards about having to read it in English Literature and looking for symbolism. I think I watched the movie for the exact same reason people are forced to read it in English Literature class. Read this it's great. Well, let me say that no it is not.

I believe the movie is comparable to the movie "The Notebook". Same guy leaves girl, guy comes back, girl has gotten married. But then it differs. I liked The Notebook, but I think it got too cheezy (They died together), but still, I thought it was better than The Great Gatsby.

P.S. I watch a lot of movies. Some I remember and some I don't. I think this is one that I will forget after a while, so I put this post up to remind myself about the movie.

Read the book. Great literature rarely has anything to do with the story.

But still, where'd the lighter fluid come from?
