Baz Luhrmann has the rights to remake this film.

I wonder who he has slated to star in it?

Jude Law could pull it off......Cate Blanchett as Daisy? please no
Plus all of these actors are wayy too old to be any of the characters.

It's not a remake. Both will be based on a book.

And for the record, all main characters are in their 20s. No Naomi Watts or Cate Blanchette. Sorry.

Part of the problem is that a lot of the actors mentioned are already in their 40s or 50s. The novel characters were in their late 20s, early 30s.

Think more along the lines of Keira Knightly, Rachel McAdams, Chris O'Donnel, Ian Somerhalder, Christian Bale.
