probably the most inadvertently funny movie i've ever seen

my english teacher offered us extra credit for watching this since her regular classes had just finished reading it
while the costumes & set were dazzling, the acting was hilariously bad and my stomach actually hurt from laughing at all the ridiculous scenes/one-liners my friends&i are bound to repeat as inside jokes
including:

"look at the sky! i just want to take one of those pink clouds, put you in it, and push you around"
[to which my teacher responded, "yes, because that's what every girl says to the man she's in love with" haha]

"what are you doing?
just standing here"
ULTIMATE creeper moment of the many throughout the movie

that random one-sec clip of myrtle punching through the glass window & then eating her own hand

"i've never seen such beautiful shirts before"
*nuzzles intimately with said shirts*

Tom & Jay are knuckling up for an intense fight when all of the sudden Daisy just shrieks & flails about out of the room

"how did she look?
she's dead.
yea, i thought so"

you see George dazingly stumble out of the garage shop in the middle of the night
couple scenes later, when you've totally forgotten about him, it's morning and he's still walking to the Buchanan house
my friend applauded, "he finally got there!"

The scene with the towels is legendary.

everything you quoted is taken directly from the book so maybe you should read it before you comment because its handled a lot better in that rather than this film
