Robert Redford looks just like Brad Pitt in this movie. (Or I guess it's more accurate to say that Brad Pitt looks like Robert Redford.)

I noticed the strong resemblance between Robert Redford and Brad Pitt years ago when I saw A River Runs Through It. Robert Redford directed that movie and Brad Pitt starred as the protagonist's doomed, older brother.

Brad Pitt is nearly twenty years too old to play Gatsby, who is supposed to be around the age of 30. It could be argued that Leo DiCaprio is a bit too old to be playing Gatsby.

I have long thought the difinitive cast for The Great Gatsby would be a Brad Pitt as Gatsby and Charlize Theron as Daisy. Since they would not have been age-appropriate for those roles at the same time, obviously that couldn't have happened.

They acted together in the movie "Spy Game", and yes, there is a resemblance...
