Did Myrtle's new dog grow up incredibly fast in 2 hours?

When she brings him into the party, its a completely different sized puppy. Anyone else notice this?

Silver Linings Playbook / O. Russell / Jackman / Lawrence / Waltz / Hunt

Yes that's the funniest thing in the whole movie. That's why my friends and I think this movie is better than the remake.

lol!!

The second shot was a Baz Luhrmann CGI dog.

Yes, I noticed that right away, too! That's something someone in continuity should have picked up. The puppy went from four weeks or so to six months old!

They were actually two different dogs. The "station" where they picked up Myrtle was actually an underpass of the Queensboro bridge. The interiors (including Myrtle's apartment) were filmed in the UK, because of the tax breaks and labor costs of the time. To bring a dog into the UK required a 6 month quarantine. Karen Black actually picked out the wrong puppy, so they had to find a match at short notice.

They fed it Alpo.

And who the heck takes care of it when Myrtle and Tom are home with their spouses? Is the apartment staffed 24 hours a day?
