Hyman Roth's clicking sound
I've always wondered if that was a nervous reaction to Michael confronting Hyman or if that was a real clicking sound coming from the actor. Does anyone know?

shareI thought it was a cough.
shareI don't think so. He was talking fine up until Michael confronted him, then he got up and every specific letter or word he said, he had this clicking sound emitted from him.
My friend used to do the same thing when he got nervous so that got me curious.
I've known people who do this when they are struggling to keep their temper in check . I think that's what's going on here. Fantastic monologue by the way.
shareI took it that Roth (not the actor) was having a bit of physical distress aggravated by his tense conversation with Michael. Roth's failing health was a constant theme in their conversations, and this catching in his throat was symptomatic of Roth's decline.
Is very bad to steal Jobu's rum. Is very bad.share
I think he was trying to clear his throat
I've wondered the same thing for 30 years
sharePerhaps it was his dentures!
shareI thought it was a great touch.
shareIt's his pacemaker working overtime
