This is the film that made the mold. Leathal Weapon, bad boys, all that came since - crap crap crap. This is the originator the inovator and the one with flavor. Arkin and Cann at their best. A fun movie that deserves to be rediscovered.

Couldn't agree more - the banter between the two leads was superb throughout, and some brilliant car chases to boot.
Got to love the old couple in bed as the car smashes through their bedroom wall!!

Different strokes for different folks, I suppose. I'm certainly no modern Apollo who could have turned down a chance with the younger Loretta in hopes of someone "better." I think she had a really sweet look about her prior to the "Hotlips" days. Steve.
