What's the missing scene with the hot tub???

I've seen several lobby cards and stills in books which depict Freebie half drowning (a suspect) in a fully tiled hot tub...can anyone shed any light on this sequence (which I do not recall in cinemas or on it's subsequent Laserdisc release)...over to you Mr Rush?

Yeah, that rings a bell from somewhere...But I've only seen the movie once, and that was on the same terrestrial channel that is showing it tonight, so I guess it must have been reinstated...
