This movie literally SAVED MY LIFE!!

I could've chosen to see another movie that night, and gotten onto the expressway
at the same time to go home. I was driving alone, at a spot where the highway
makes a long, slow curve. In the dark sometimes the traffic on the other side
can look like it's coming towards you. This was before the fuel embargo was to
lower speeds and I believe the limit was 75mph. Back then, Freebie &the Beans'
chase scenes were of the highest caliber. My senses were SO OBVIOUSLY tweaked
after sitting on the edge, and glued to the back of my seat for an hour. When
I realized a car was ACTUALLY coming at me, only a honed reflex from this film
saved my life. When I swerved out of its path, the other car became invisible
at a combined passing speed of 150MPH! All I can say is that it would've been
a painless, instantaneous, vaporization had I not gotten out of the way. Yes,
a movie CAN save your life. This one allowed me to write about it here. Today.

Was that you?

That's a nice story Joss and you may well have been going 75 mph but the 55 mph cap on speed limits had been in force for almost a year when this movie came out.

reply

the 55 mph was largely ignored anyways at least here in Arizona and California back then

Awesome! Glad you're still around (but probably not nearly as glad as you are). LOL.

Hmmm... the last syllables of your ID being 'polis': You must know the Spanish title for this film was, "Una extraña pareja de polis".

Made in America...
by illegal aliens.
