Appalling acting from George and Fonda.
Amateur hour.
You`re my wife now.
It's a low budget stock car movie. You watch it for the cars not the interpersonal drama. Watching it for the dialogue is like watching Ron Jeremy for the dialogue!
shareExactly!!! I don't think the acting is that bad, but who cares, some of the best REAL (Not CGI) car chases and helicopter/car chase ever!!!!
shareThe (written) dialogue is really stupid, and they couldn't fix it no matter how good their acting might have been.
But as someone above said, this isn't the kind of movie worth analyzing the dialogue over. Great car chases, a few good one liners, the late, great Vic Morrow, and a killer ending....plenty good enough for what was intended.
Their acting was poor tho, you're right.

I had the displeasure of watching this the other night. Fonda was still riding high in Hollywood from easy rider. So they threw money at him and basically make any movie. Here is what the movie is basically. Two guys acting tough and making wise cracks, driving around in a fast car doing stunts. Toss in a gal with lose morals and also makes wise cracks.
