X and G

What was the reasoning (if any other than the time period) that England gave this film an X rating, but in the US it got a G? Is there anything in the film to garner it an X, and if not, is it G worthy (I haven't seen the film yet, so any explanations shouldn't come with spoilers, tks).

The UK:X is a mistake, its rated U(G equivalent) and it was never rated any higher.

This is a pretty clean movie, theres nothing more than U rated.

These cartoons are truly bizarre and frightening!
