shareAnd by the way he walks, and the fur coat, he sort of looked like an Ewok sometimes. Either way, Lucas was much inspired by Kurosawa.
shareThe similarities are definately there - even down to the moral outlook shared by both characters. And yes, Lucas has said on several occassions that he has been heavily influenced by Kurosawa - this can be seen especially in the screen wipes Lucas uses in Star Wars, one of Kurosawa (and indeed Japanese cinema/theatre's) traditions.
