I've never met anyone who has seen this movie. I consider it in the top 30 or 40 movies ever made. I can't get over how gorgeous the cinematography and locations are and its a very exciting and human film of a great adventure story.

Well said, the movie is hard to find in high quality, we need more votes so this get in the top 250 and receive more recognition. Maybe after we'll get a Criterion release when the popularity of the film is higher.
It's definitely one of the best films ever made.
Thanks for the recommendations, I watched them all over the course of this year. The Human Condition is my favorite of them, I watched the whole trilogy in one sitting.
