Death Wish should be remade. Bryan Cranston would be perfect.
Cranston is so intense. He can play the 'every man' --turned-- like no other. He could really pull this off quite well I think...

shareDeath Wish doesn't need a remake.

Oh shut up.
shareSays the guy who liked Romeo + Juliet, A Christmas Carol, The Money Pit, Dr. Dolittle, Insomnia, True Lies, City of Angels, Frankenweenie, The Mummy, Gone in 60 Seconds, I Am Legend, The Ring, The Wizard of Oz, The Magnificent Seven, The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, Heat, The Thing, True Grit, Man on Fire, 3:10 to Yuma, Payback, and A Fistful of Dollars.
Stupid generalization.
Watched the movie again today. I thought about how they have done remakes of old movies and how bad a remake of Death Wish would be because of political correctness. Most of the pivotal scenes and dialog would be cut, and most likely they'd portray Paul as more of a bad guy rather than a hero. They'd probably release the film as PG-13 too.
shareWhat about Bruce Willis as the main character?

It seems Willis actually got the part:

As with most on here I'm not usually impressed with re-makes
This has been re-made recently with Bruce willis in the Bronson role, I have NOT seen it so will not comment on it
The ONLY remake that was as good or better than the original was Tom Sellecks version of Monte Walsh
BUT -- BUT --BUT
The idea of putting Cranston in the Bronson role is --- Interesting and doable ---
