I saw this movie a while ago on the "Chilling Classics" 50 movie pack. I know all the movies on them are allegedly public domain, but I've read that this has been brought into dispute, particularly in the case of Peter Jackson's "Bad Taste". Is this film actually public domain?

I don't know, but its available to watch or download free on the internet archive.
