Ok, I loved the film. The scene in the Movie Theater was near pitch perfect, but I have a question...
The movie that was on the screen (which I assume is a trailer, since the movie on the marquee was 'Kiss Tomorrow Goodbye')shows Sammy Davis Jr. (or someone looking strikingly like him) in some cowboy movie. Does that movie exist? What is it?
Great catch, Summerisle! How did you ever figure that one out? Bye the way, did you take your name after the amazing "Wicker Man"?
I actually thought the choice of the movie marquee was very appropriate, "Kiss Tomorrow Goodbye". But I wonder if we've actually caught the director in a bit of an error. The movie on the screen was not a trailer, but the full version of the Sammy Davis cowboy movie. Too many scenes passed for it to merely be a trailer. I wonder why the director chose to have a different movie on the screen than in the marquee? Although I can understand that the "zombies" were enchanted by fire, and the film had a good deal of it. I can only assume that he wanted us to catch the irony of the marquee's title and get a little laugh out of it. It worked for me! Sheila

The odd thing is, Gone With The West came out in 1975, two years AFTER the release of Messiah Of Evil, which means it's a late insert.....what was the girl originally watching (maybe they wanted Kiss Tomorrow Goodbye but lost the rights?)
Gone With the West was actually made before Messiah of Evil. It sat on the shelf for years because it is dreadful. All the scenes shown are from that movie.
