I'm such a fan!!! More Rivette?

I need to talk about this movie with someone, but what can I say? What topic? Um... how about what a genius Rivette is and if he has any other work that I must check out. This is my first by him and I am still picking my jaw up off the floor! How can such an amazing effect be done with almost no budget?!?!

Anyway, so if you give me more titles to check out, please include a description of why you think people who like "Celine and Julie" would like that... Thanks in advance!

Really nice to see someone who truly likes this film.

I watched it last year and still think about it everyday.
Unfortunately, it's also the only film by Rivette I've seen.
But based on critic's reviews and the times of appearance in various online media, I'd say Paris Nous Appartient, supposedly the film actually started French New Wave, and La Belle Noiseuse, don't why, but I've heard people talking about it so many times, and definitely dying to see it.

Actually,
There's a film by Has, a polish director, called Saragossa Manuscript.
You should check it out, I absolutely loved it. It shared so many things in common with Celine and Julie, but I don't want to spoil them for you.

"Love on the Ground" is not to be missed, if you liked this one.

All of his movies are great - even the more straight forward ones.
