John Meillon was absolutely amazing as the mayor. What an amazing actor (whom I had never even heard of until last week).
The character of Arthur seemed very childlike, extremely week and almost pathetic. I think this fits in with the film very well, but I found myself very frustrated at his whole demeanour.

John Meillon seems to pop up in the strangest places, sure I knew him as Walter Reilly in Crocodile Dundee, but I watched an old classic called "On The Beach" last week which was filmed in and around Melbourne, which I found very good, and it was about 1958. And John Meillon was in it acting with Gregory Peck. This guy had quite an acting repertoire
