I also watched it on Film4. Like the other films starring Joe Delasandro that are currently being shown on F4, they are that trashy and badly acted that I find them amusing to watch. The end of Blood for Dracula was the funniest thing I've seen in a long time in film!
And the severed head in Frankenstein was so clearly a model - brilliant!
Well, I agree with your frustration. If you were in the mood to see an honest vampire movie...sorry to inform you, but...Something you have to keep in mind...anything that is even associated with Andy Warhol, do NOT take it seriously. Mr. Warhol was all about satire and exploiting anything and everything relating to American pop culture. The "horror film" is a fairly large component of the average American citizen’s weekend activities....especially in the days before iPods and internet pornography.
Besides, you have to admit the dialogue in the film was hilarious. I mean, the discrepancies with the pronunciation of "virgin"? Priceless.

This was the first "dirty movie" I ever saw. I guess that is what is wrong with me now. ;-) It used to air (censored) late nights on the USA network & this was racy stuff for a 12 year old.
