I know it cannot be avoided but look at how many of Mel Brooks' actors/actresses are no longer with us:

Harvey Korman
Alex Karass
Medline Kahn
Gene Wilder
Dom Deluise
Gregory Hines
Cleavon Little
Slim Pickens
Beau Arthur
Peter Boyle
Marty Feldman
John Candy

Hey, at least we still have Cloris Leachman and Mr Brooks himself.

Of course, they thankful still provide us good laughs, courtesy of film, recordings, etc.
