Good outline of the U.S.?
Haven't seen it yet all tho I love road flicks (Easy Rider being my fav) but my question is does this hold up as a good road movie and does it showcase the beauty of the American highways and countrysides?
shareIt's not really a road movie. While Alice is on the road a lot... She stays stationary for long periods of time. There's a few good road montages in there. It's also not as IMDB lists a Drama Romance, but much more so a Comedy Drama (emphasis more so on the comedy)
shareThe premise of the movie is that she moves from Albuquerque to Phoenix, then on to Tucson. So basically its a desert southwest road movie,I suppose.
shareAlbuquerque? Socorro, the town where Alice doesn't live anymore is 75 miles south of Albuquerque. She didn't even go thru there on the way to Phoenix. Road signs said U.S. 60 which goes thru both Socorro and Phoenix.
I agree with those who say it isn't much of a road picture.
