Men's Fashions

Man there are some gawd-awful fashions in this one (and I mean that in the kindest way). Check out that plaid suit Chuck is wearing at the beginning. Later it's a leisure suit with a mustard colored shirt. Or Larry Storch's get-up as the remote T.V. host. There must have been a recent sale on turtlenecks as well. Ya gotta love this movie!!

Everybody looked awful in the 70's, I had sideburns that were the size of hamsters sticking out of my cheeks ..... and those flaired trousers .... boy oh oh boy, what were we thinking!!

Of course back then we didn't think we looked awful. Leisure suits, Quiana shirts, white belts, lots of jewelry lol.

Hopefully the 3 day old beard and goatee will suffer the same fate. Throw in untucked shirts with a suit or sport coat too.

Today's face stubble, ungroomed hair, and backwards baseball caps will look just as stupid to future generations.

AMEN. -- and don't forget the bulky pants sagging down around the butt crack.

Give me the colorful and happy-looking '70s fashions ANY day .

I woulda killed to get my hands on a suit like Heston's for my graduation party in '74. Instead I wore a kelly green velour suit with dark green stripes on each leg, with a canary-yellow ruffled silk shirt topped with a light green clip-on bowtie that coulda been used as propeller on a twin engine plane...

May I bone your kipper, Mademoiselle?

You're probably at least 15 years behind the times when describing youth fashions. I first started seeing baggy pants around the mid '90s and I think it's only waned in recent years. Like the fashion or hate it, it had way more staying power than you boomers' '70s atrocities.
