You're a disgace to your race! --Racist remark?

When the stewardess tells Eric Estrada that he's a disgrace to his race, that to me is a racist thing to say. I know the scriptwriter did a poor job, and it was probably just a top of the head comment he thought up.
Anyway, the main part of this film wasn't bad--i.e. what was happening in the cockpit, however what was awful was the idiocy in the main cabin. They might as well have cut all the cabin scenes out. I mean did anyone really care that Gloria Swanson is having her book published, or Linda Blair needs a kidney, etc.?

For who would bear the whips and scorns of Hollywood... (;-p)

Haha Eric Estrada plays horny Julio!

Back in the 70's they didn't have the snowflake generation that was offended by everything and found everything racist.

They'd better change Karen Black's name in the credits just in case some poor soul gets offended by the word 'Black' and has to go to his safe space... ?

ROTFL.... Classic. I like that term the "snowflake generation" as well.

It is racist.
That’s how they rolled back then.
Today she’d get cancelled but in the 70’s it was understood that close friends or coworkers rib each other, often offensively.
