IMDB v2.0
A replacement site perhaps?
Worth looking into
http://imdb2.freeforums.net/
What the heck is that? Somebody just made a blog and decided to call it "IMDb v2.0" just like that? I couldn't find a link to contact anyone responsible for it. I'd like to know if we can create specific forums for specific shows.
(A while later...)
I've been checking this. It seems this site would give us little or no control over the way we organize things, like nominating shows and voting for them. But I'll join and ask around.
I've signed up , seems Blakes7 fans are quick off the mark there's already a board for that.
Yes I think if a board doesn't yet exist for a show just create a thread and it's done.
Don't know if there's a limit on length of posts but it seems preferable to facebook IMO
Yes, you can create a thread, but a thread is not a forum. We'd need a forum for the show with a thread for each specific episode. What a few B7 fans created was a thread for the show in general.
shareYes, but each Friday you create a thread for each episode. What seems to be here is not a board as such but specific threads , so you could create each Friday such as "KOLCHAK EPISODE 7" and then the sages reply as now. There seems to be no boards dedicated to shows subdivided into threads, but just stand alone threads, not perfect but workable.
We'd have to create threads in an existing forum, as there wouldn't be one for the show. And due to tge large amount of threads our group would create, this coukd be a big problem. Besides, I doubt whoevet is running this thing woukd put up eith the amount of off-topic talk we usually have. We'd be at the mercy of their rules.
But I'm going to lock into that anyway. Tomorrow I'll post one thread about us, what we do and observe their reaction. And I'm creating the Facebook group anyway so we can continue discussing there when there's nowhere else to go.
I suspect TMDB https://www.themoviedb.org/ may be a better alternative; there already exists a Kolchak message board, and some from here (including myself) have already posted content there.
shareA good place to muster for now. If it turns out to be a good place to hang, that's good. If not, at least it's easy to find and not a clusterfudge of different threads and headings.
Most people who use these boards, won't bother with anything that's not as simple to get to as https://www.themoviedb.org/ seems to be.
