shareThe young boy in the earlier episodes was Spike played by Danny Butch, he was Fonzie's nephew. He only appeared in a handful of episodes (4 total) in seasons 2,3 & 4.
Chachi first appeared at the beginning of season 5. He is Fonzie's cousin. Chachi first appeared in the three part season premiere, Hollywood, where they went to California and Fonzie jumped over the shark on water skies.
I don't know what they have to say. It makes no difference anyway. Whatever it is, I'm against it.

Correction: Spike was Fonz' cousin (not nephew) who referred to Fonz as "Uncle" as a sign of respect. Later years Chachi can be seen as kind of an analogue for Spike as Danny Butch quit acting after obviously aging out of the role, and the writers clearly could do nothing more with the character.
When there's no more room in Hollywood, remakes shall walk the Earth.share
