Did Redford like this movie?

I got the impression that he doesn't care much for his role in TWWW. I could be wrong though. Anybody know?

My guess is that if Redford were to rank the characters he's portrayed, Hubbell wouldn't exactly be on the top of the list. Sydney Pollack had to beg Redford to do the picture (after months of trying to convince him to do it, Redford finally agreed last minute), and alterations had to be made to Hubbell to give the character, well, more character (read Arthur Laurent's book that's based on the film-- you'll see the film goes deeper into the character's being versus the novel).

As for the film in general, Redford really enjoyed working with Barbra, and (assuming because they were friends and had done multiple pictures together) Sydney Pollack.

Redford wouldn't get appropriate haircut for the movie, I know that.

I have never seen Redford being vocal that he did not like this film and seemed to have enjoyed working with Streisand but at the time, there would had been changes made to give Streisand the spotlight.

Its that man again!!

I remember reading an interview with him from the 1980s (I believe it was in McCalls magazine). He was asked about this movie. He said he enjoyed working with Streisand but didn't like the movie. He thought his character was way too bland. He also wasn't crazy about the political scenes being edited out.
