AAHHHHHHH!! YOU B***RDS!

About a month ago I bought the freakin' Fox DVD...

I finally got around to poppin' it in the player and was hoping for a decent transfer of what is one of my all time favorites...

My jaw just hit the floor -- IT'S CUT!!! IT'S THE CRAPPY FREEZE FRAME VERSION!

DO NOT BUY THIS DISC!!!

Believe me when I say you're definitely not the only disappointed person on this board. We're all over the place. My advice is to make your thoughts known to Fox as we're all doing. What's worse is that Fox is now censoring our IMDb posts by removing some of our complaints from the boards. There are a lot of posts that list contacts you could e-mail (if they haven't been deleted yet), so find them and e-mail them if you feel so inclined.

At the very least they should have stated on the DVD cover "PG Modified Version" or something like that, but noooooooo.

I suspect nobody at Fox actually examined the print; it was probably pulled from the archives and sent off for transfer without any thought -- a simple machine-like assembly-line mentality. It shows how little Fox cares about its product, and it is an insult to the film, its cast, crew and fans. ...And for nobody at Fox or companies associated in the film transfer/creation of the DVD to notice anything is amiss, my God, that's an appalling lack of quality control.

I am about to write Fox and complain and I encourage fellow fans to do the same. I want an uncut print AND a special edition -- how about some commentary tracks?
Interviews with anybody still kicking (e.g. Tom Baker). I'd love to know how Robin Nedwell and Geoffrey Davies came to be involved, given they were stars of the popular "Doctor.." British comedy series.

Come on Fox! Give us all a break and put out something decent!
