A scene depicting the strange insects that swarm up from hell...

Is this the film series (not necessarily this first entry) where there was a a heavy set guy with a gray beard teaching from chalkboard about the rapture when the door busts down and what is supposed to be the stinger of a huge, gigantic bug comes in and stings him, leaving him laying on the ground in terrible pain?? I know this sounds silly, but I distinctly recall seeing a giant wooden frame covered in black plastic bursting through a door and stinging someone! I know it was a christian themed film about the end times, so I am thinking that something this literal and silly would have to be from this series. Can anyone confirm?

I'm not familiar enough with Image of the Beast or Prodigal Planet but I know it's not from "Thief" or A Distant Thunder. The movies are on youtube though if that helps.

Thanks. I can't remember where I saw these, or if I have even seen them all of just one or two. I do, however, remember seeing what was supposed to be the tail end of an insect stinging the guy and laughing hard over it. I mean, the scripture doesn't literally mean giant mutant hell bugs, LOL! I would like to see these from start to finish, so sometime when college is out for the Christmas season I will download and watch.

Hey, I was just reading reviews of these stupid films and I answered my own question. Image of the Beast has the giant bugs!
here are some quotes from reviews posted on the film's IMDb page...
