I know it was Lonnegan's way of taking charge, being Mr. Tough Guy, and shutting down all dissent. But it was just such a goddamned annoying way to do it. That phrase! I dunno, it just really bothered me.

I thought it was a great catch phrase. Long before lines like Ahnold's, "I'll be back!" He only said it three times also.

They'd say "Ya follow?"
They'd sweep a finger across the nose to say goodbye.
...but just for a few months. It was like SNL catch phrases, "two wild and crazy guys" and whatnot.
