Redford + Newman = the best film duo of all time

After watching both this and Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, I can't help but feel that Robert Redford and Paul Newman may very well be the greatest on screen pairing ever. Has any duo ever had better chemistry? They played off each other so well, it's no wonder they remained close friends up until Paul's death.

Agree. Both are among my favorites of All time.

They are so great together. I think you can really feel their love and respect for each other when they are on screen. And they are both fantastic actors but seem to really bring out the best in each other.

...of that generation. That chemistry is seen when watching brad Pitt and Clooney as well
