Still relevant

I'm ashamed to admit this but I just learned about this film 3 days ago. I found it on YouTube and Was blown away. Some of the commentary on the riots is as timely as ever. No wonder this movie was hidden in the vaults. It didn't cater to stereotypes and showcase sheer coonery like Superfly and Willie Dynamite.

It is indeed still relevant, and it demands to be better known. Despite the many hot-button issues addressed here, however, I found it a bit underwhelming. 6/10 stars from me, though I may upgrade if I ever watch it again.

Considering the current political client, this movie is extremely relevant. Today, minutes ago, was the first time I'd seen it, via YouTube. I'd heard about it, but for whatever reason never followed through in watching. It was so deep! I'm a huge fan of 70s movies, and I'll have to add this to my extensive collection. It's definitely in a class by itself.
