The revelation of what Soylent Green is didn't disturb everyone

It seems to have greatly upset the priest to the point of breaking his mind, and also it disturbed Thorn (Charlton Heston,) but Chief Hatcher seemed hardly phased by it as did Sol Roth (Edward G. Robinson.) In fact, it looked like Hatcher was only telling Thorn he'd tell the Exchange to calm him down.

Remember, the real secret that Sol was dealing with was the fact that the oceans were dead. No more oxygen production. The Earth is doomed and Soylent Green is just a side element in the slow death of everything.
