i'm not really familiar with Reich's devices, but.. is the orgasm device on this movie based on some of Reich's wierd inventions??

I'm asking this because i'm quite sure Woody Allen is familiar with Reich's ideas, so... this possibility occured to me.

It's possible. Reich seems like a person Allen would be fascinated by.
Flees nazi oppression only to face similar small minded people in the U.S. where the FDA ordered all his books confiscated and destroyed.
Where he died in prison for having ideas that did not conform with 50s Americana.
